Leading Edge Gutters

Seamless gutters, formed in your driveway

We roll-form each run from a single coil of aluminum right at your house, so the only joints are at the corners. Fewer seams, fewer leaks, and a gutter sized to the roof above it.

When: Best booked late summer through fall, before the freeze.

How long: Most homes are finished in a single day.

Why it matters up here

A gutter that sags, leaks at the seams, or can't keep up with a July downpour sends water where it does the most harm: into the fascia, down the siding, and against the foundation. In Northern Michigan that same water freezes, and ice finishes the job.

How we do it

  1. Dan measures every roofline and downspout location himself, then recommends 5" or 6" based on roof area and pitch, not on what's easiest to sell.

  2. The gutter is formed on-site to the exact length of each run, hung on hidden hangers, pitched toward the downspouts, and sealed at the corners.

  3. Downspouts are placed to carry water away from walkways and foundations, with extensions where the yard needs them.

What’s included

On-site roll forming
One continuous piece per run, cut to length at your home.
5" and 6" profiles
Sized to your roof. Larger or steeper roofs usually need 6".
Hidden hangers
Screwed into the fascia at close spacing to carry snow load.
Repairs and re-pitching
Leaking corners, sagging runs, and loose downspouts fixed without a full replacement when that's the honest call.

    “Best price of 4 estimates”

Showed up on time, worked steadily, cleaned up when done. Best price of 4 estimates, best gutter guard I have seen. Work looks as expected, excellent job done, to spec. Would recommend you get a quote from Dan.

“Exactly what working with a contractor should look like”

The overall experience received from Dan and team is exactly what working with a contractor should look like. Prompt and always on-time, responsive and thoughtful with advisement on options, as well as going above and beyond to ensure the finished project would exceed expectations. Highly recommend a conversation with Leading Edge if you are looking for higher quality materials than others will offer, but at a price point that is more reasonable.

“Eliminated a water issue near my back door”

Professional, prompt and attention to detail, Dan was able to eliminate a water issue near my back garage door. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for gutter installation. Thanks, Dan and son.

Seamless gutters questions

What makes seamless gutters better than sectional ones?

Sectional gutters leak where the pieces overlap. Seamless gutters are one piece per run, so the only joints are at the corners, where we seal them. Fewer joints means fewer leaks and fewer places for debris to catch.

Should I get 5-inch or 6-inch gutters?

It depends on roof area and pitch. Most single-story homes do well with 5". Large or steep roofs, and valleys that dump a lot of water in one spot, are better served by 6". We'll tell you which one your house needs and why.

How long does installation take?

Most homes are finished in one day. Larger or multi-story homes can take longer depending on access and weather.

Can you repair my existing gutters instead?

Often, yes. Leaking corners, sagging sections, and loose downspouts can usually be repaired. If a system is past saving, we'll show you why before recommending replacement.

How do I know I need new gutters?

Water running over the front edge, peeling paint or stains below the gutter, puddles or erosion at the foundation, and gutters pulling away from the fascia are the common signs.
