We want you to feel confident signing with Leading Edge Gutters. This policy explains what happens to deposits and payments if plans change, and how we make things right if there’s a problem with our work. Your written estimate or contract may include additional terms specific to your project.
Estimates are always free
There is never a charge for an estimate, and requesting one doesn’t obligate you to anything.
Your three-day right to cancel
If you sign a contract at your home, Michigan law generally gives you the right to cancel within three business days of signing, for any reason, and receive a full refund of any payment. We honor this right and will include the details with your contract.
Deposits
Some projects, particularly roofing, siding, and orders of special colors or materials, require a deposit so we can order materials and reserve your spot on the schedule.
- Before materials are ordered or fabricated: if you cancel, we refund your deposit in full.
- After materials are ordered: we refund your deposit minus the cost of any materials that can’t be returned to the supplier, and any restocking fee the supplier charges us. We’ll show you the supplier invoice.
- Custom-formed materials: seamless gutters are cut and formed to your home’s exact measurements. Once they have been formed, those materials can’t be reused or returned, and their cost is not refundable.
Cancelling or rescheduling
Plans change. Call or text us as soon as you know, and we’ll either reschedule at no charge or process your cancellation under the deposit terms above. We’ll never charge you for rescheduling due to weather.
If something isn’t right with our work
Our installations are covered by a written workmanship warranty. If you notice a problem, like a leaking joint, a loose hanger, or a downspout that isn’t draining right, contact us and we will inspect it and repair it at no charge if it’s covered. Because we can fix workmanship issues directly, our remedy under the warranty is repair or correction of the work rather than a cash refund.
Material defects are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, and we’ll help you file the claim.
What isn’t covered
- Damage caused by storms, falling trees or limbs, or ice and snow removal tools
- Changes or repairs made by someone else
- Pre-existing conditions we identified and you chose not to have repaired
- Normal wear, and the fading or weathering of materials over time
How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are issued promptly, using the same method you paid with when possible, or by check. We’ll confirm the amount and timing in writing.
How to reach us
To cancel, reschedule, request a refund, or report a warranty issue, call or text (231) 715-1838, Mon–Sun, 8 AM – 9 PM. We’ll confirm every cancellation or refund request in writing.
