Working with us
Don’t see yours? Call or text (231) 715-1838. A real person answers, seven days a week.
Are your estimates free?
Yes. Dan comes out, measures, looks at the problem, and gives you a written price. There's no charge and no obligation.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Leading Edge Gutters is licensed and insured in Michigan.
Do you warranty your work?
Yes. Every installation comes with a written workmanship warranty, on top of the manufacturer warranties on the materials. We'll go over the terms with your estimate.
How long does a typical job take?
Most gutter, guard, and GoNano jobs are done in one day. Roof replacements usually take one to two days, and full siding projects three to five.
What areas do you serve?
Traverse City and Northern Michigan, from Petoskey and Harbor Springs to Ludington, Cadillac, Clare, and Big Rapids. If you're not sure we cover your address, call or text.
When can you come out?
We answer the phone seven days a week, 8 AM to 9 PM, and schedule estimates as quickly as the calendar allows. Call or text (231) 715-1838 to get on it.
Seamless Gutter Installation & Repair
Don’t see yours? Call or text (231) 715-1838. A real person answers, seven days a week.
What makes seamless gutters better than sectional ones?
Sectional gutters leak where the pieces overlap. Seamless gutters are one piece per run, so the only joints are at the corners, where we seal them. Fewer joints means fewer leaks and fewer places for debris to catch.
Should I get 5-inch or 6-inch gutters?
It depends on roof area and pitch. Most single-story homes do well with 5". Large or steep roofs, and valleys that dump a lot of water in one spot, are better served by 6". We'll tell you which one your house needs and why.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are finished in one day. Larger or multi-story homes can take longer depending on access and weather.
Can you repair my existing gutters instead?
Often, yes. Leaking corners, sagging sections, and loose downspouts can usually be repaired. If a system is past saving, we'll show you why before recommending replacement.
How do I know I need new gutters?
Water running over the front edge, peeling paint or stains below the gutter, puddles or erosion at the foundation, and gutters pulling away from the fascia are the common signs.
Gutter Guard Installation
Don’t see yours? Call or text (231) 715-1838. A real person answers, seven days a week.
How do gutter guards work?
A fine mesh over an aluminum frame lets water pass through by surface tension while leaves, needles, and seed pods slide off or sit on top to dry and blow away.
Can you put guards on my existing gutters?
Yes, on most sound gutter systems. If your gutters are sagging or leaking, we'll recommend fixing that first so the guard has something good to sit on.
Do gutter guards need any maintenance?
Very little. An occasional rinse or brush-off keeps the mesh clear, which is a lot less work than scooping out full gutters twice a year.
What brands do you install?
Alu-Rex and ArmourGuard. Both use aluminum frames and stainless-steel mesh that hold up to Michigan winters.
Are gutter guards worth it?
If you have trees near the house, usually yes. They prevent the overflows that damage fascia and foundations, and they keep you off the ladder.
Roof Replacement & Repair
Don’t see yours? Call or text (231) 715-1838. A real person answers, seven days a week.
How do I know if my roof needs replacing?
Curling or cracked shingles, bald spots where granules are gone, repeated leaks, and daylight in the attic are the usual signs. An inspection confirms whether repair, GoNano restoration, or replacement makes sense.
Do you handle storm damage?
Yes. We repair wind, hail, and snow damage and can document what we find with photos for your records.
What shingles do you use?
Asphalt shingles rated for Northern Michigan wind and snow. We'll walk you through the options and colors during the estimate.
Can you inspect my roof before winter?
Yes, and fall is the best time. Catching a lifted shingle or failed flashing before snow load prevents most winter leaks.
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most residential replacements take one to two days, depending on size, pitch, and weather.
Siding Replacement & Repair
Don’t see yours? Call or text (231) 715-1838. A real person answers, seven days a week.
How long does siding replacement take?
Most homes take three to five days, depending on size, material, and weather.
What siding do you install?
Vinyl and fiber cement. Vinyl is lighter and lower cost; fiber cement is more rigid and impact-resistant. We'll help you weigh them for your house.
Can you repair just one section?
Yes. Localized damage can usually be repaired. We'll be honest about how closely new panels will match older, faded ones.
Will new siding help with drafts and energy bills?
It can. A new weather-resistant barrier and tight installation reduce air leaks, which you'll feel on windy winter days.
What colors and styles are available?
Lap, dutch lap, board and batten, and shake profiles in a wide range of colors. We'll bring samples to the estimate.
GoNano Asphalt Shingle Restoration
Don’t see yours? Call or text (231) 715-1838. A real person answers, seven days a week.
How does GoNano work?
It penetrates asphalt shingles and replaces the oils they lose to UV and weather, which restores flexibility and color and slows cracking.
How much life does it add?
Typically 10 to 15 years, depending on the roof's age, condition, and exposure.
Will it fix a leak?
No. GoNano is a preservation treatment, not a structural repair. We fix leaks and damaged areas first, or recommend replacement if the roof is past treating.
Is it safe for my yard and family?
Yes. It's a non-toxic, eco-friendly formula, and because there's no tear-off, there's no debris either.
How long does application take?
Most homes are treated in a single day.
